Yes. Creating a listing costs nothing. Scavengerie charges an 8% commission only after an item actually sells. If it never sells, you never pay.
What can I sell on Scavengerie?
Almost anything pre-owned: clothing and accessories, furniture, art, books, records, electronics, jewelry, oddities and collectibles, home goods, instruments — the whole range. No restrictive category rules.
How does the 8% commission work?
When your item sells, Scavengerie deducts 8% from the sale price. The rest goes to you. There are no monthly subscription fees, no listing fees, and no setup costs — commission is the only thing we ever earn.
How do buyers and sellers handle shipping?
Buyers and sellers coordinate shipping directly through the platform messaging system. You set your own shipping preferences (local pickup, shipped, or both) in the listing.
Can buyers make offers below the listed price?
Yes. Buyers can use the Make Offer feature on any listing. Sellers can accept, counter, or decline at their discretion. It adds a bit of that real flea-market negotiation to the experience.
